The Healing Sanctuary at O.U.R. Ecovillage was designed with input from the community circle- people who are practitioners of healing arts, facilitators and Ecovillage members. It is located in a quiet area of the property- forest to the North and East, a pond to the South and the connection to the communal area to the West. The intention with this building is to provide work space for practitioners: massage, counseling, etc. There is also a larger space for group sessions like meditation or council. A reception area, tea kitchen, and bathroom serve all spaces.
Built entirely by community- in workshops, teaching programs, and with generous support from local businesses- this building is setting the first example at O.U.R. Ecovillage for Natural Building projects.
